SPIDER-MAN by Gerard De La Costa

No matter how hard I try, I still find myself drawing Spidey with way more muscles than Peter would realistically have (well, as realistic as you can get with a fictional character in a make-believe world).

My apologies for wussing out on drawing buildings. I drew all the good stuff and lost steam (and interest); kinda like when you eat all the sugary coating off a candied apple but you don't want to finish the actual apple. Maybe I'll colour this one day... yeah, who am I kidding?

Happy, Happy Birthday Spitballin'! Our little baby is all grows up!

SPIDER-MAN by Michael Walsh.

Happy Birthday Spitballin'.

I'm a huge endorser of the fun-lovin' wall crawler but I find him fun to draw kind of slender and spider-like.

SPIDER-MAN by Ryan Bullard

In honour of Spitballin's first anniversary and Spider-Man's 50th, I present to you this sketch of Spider-Man aggravating the Hulk. It's very messy and uncoloured (it's supposed the grey Hulk) as it is also my 100th anniversary of being a lazy sonofabitch. -Ryan.

SPIDER-MAN by meaghan carter!

We're celebrating our 1 year anniversary at Spitballin' with Spider-man, since it's his 50th anniversary this year! I have to tell ya, he's probably the most fun I've had drawing a super hero. I do love a snarky, babblin' hero! I also prefer my spider skinny and with small eyes.

GARRUS VAKARIAN - Neil Tavares

Yep I changed it...

Garrus Vakarian. Pretty much the most bad ass dude in any game you have played. If your a Dude, he's your broseph, if your a Dudette, he's your bed buddy. This guy has never left my party, no matter what game he's in. Thane? Aria? Even Legion. No one compares to this tough as nails Turian. Anyone who plays this game, you know he's your favorite character. C'mon, really ask yourself..... yeah I thought so.

Garrus, your the man.

GARRUS VAKARIAN by Ken House

Garrus has such a fun design. I feel good about this one, despite that it's just a sketch.

GARRUS VAKARIAN by Ryan Bullard

Garrus Vakarian. I know absolutely nothing about this character. Apparently he's pretty popular with the ladies. All I really know is that he's a guy.. a space guy.. a space guy with a boney face and guns. Sounds about right.

HAWKGIRL by Ken House

This one hurts, i'd love to have been able to do it properly. It did increase my appreciation for the character's design though, which is something this blog's been great for.

Anywho, looking forward to things going back to normal for me in a couple weeks.

HAWKGIRL by Gerard de la Costa

My choice of Hawkgirl was based more on aesthetics than an affinity for the character; the design of her mask alone is a thing of beauty. Plus, what's not to like about a winged warrior wielding a studded mace?

-Gerard

HAWKGIRL by Ryan Bullard

Last week was a bit of cute overload for me, so I needed something ugly and violent and Hawkgirl was a perfect opportunity. I tried to find an interesting villain for her to fight, but DC in general, doesn't really have interesting villains (of course Batman is the exception) so I couldn't find one. I ended up just making up some rat men with jet packs and the rest is history.

Happy Easter.

ADVENTURE TIME by David Cutler

It was my choice this week and I was the kind of jerk I hate, switching my pick all the time. I settled on Adventure Time in the, because it's my favorite cartoon and in my top 5 things on TV at the moment as well.* It's genius and warms the cockles of my brain's heart.

I put Jake in his booties from the original short. And then I stuck in Lumpy Space Princess for reasons unknown. Wish I'd squeezed in Beemo, too. And I wish I'd made Jake a pug, he's more of a pug in my imagination, I think. I kept seeing him as a bulldog in places and my brain got all jacked up.

Nah, I dunno. Either or.

-David

*I haven't seen the new Avatar show yet, I know it's floating around the dark corners. Who knows what the future will bring.
